Hi CVCF! And guess what? CVCF Exco will be putting a skit too! It'll be a great if you guys are there to show your support! (Please have your dinner before coming, we ll leave by 6.15pm; 7.15pm at Toa Payoh Methodist Church if you are going on your own) Hmm, though we won’t have the bei4 jing1 wen2 competition this week, but still we would like to share out a jingwen for you, hope you can memorise it for your own good ya Psalm 23:1-6

Dear brothers and sisters in christ,i'm sure the above mentioned bible passage is familiar to most of you.. I don't know about you,but this passage really encourages me alot and serves as a reassurance that our God is a faithful God if we follow HIM with all our heart :)
I dare not say that I always follow HIM with all my heart,but I make it a point to try my best to do so and He has proven to be worthy of our praises and obedience even when I have not shown to be worthy of HIS love and grace.Verse 21 was on my mind when I was praying about taking up exco last year.Verse 21 was also on my mind when I needed an answer with regards to being a cell group leader on top of it.Verse 21 was still on my mind when I was struggling all these with the addition of my studies throughout the school term.
I badly wanted to glorify HIM with my results,because a good friend of mine,a non-christian,was saying that I seemed to spend too much time serving God and wondered how would I have time for my studies.I desperately wanted to be a faithful servant,a joyful child of God,a living testimony for those around me that our God is a great God who takes care of me and showers blessings upon me.Thus,I could only hang on to His promise in verse 21 and stayed close to HIM.
Last semester,I scored the best I have ever scored in all my NUS semesters,despite having more shi4 feng4 than ever,because God chose to work through me and let me experience HIS great love yet again :) Those who have been around me have heard me shared different sharings,occurring in different stages of my life,similar to that I have just shared,and ,and that only goes to how God has helped me again and again.Some of you out there may be in a dilemma whether to serve or not,or you may in the midst of a struggle juggling all the things together with your service to God.I just want to bring you back to this verse that promise great rewards if we faithfully do HIS work and entrust all upon HIM....
....so now I feel obliged to point out the fact that ling xiu gu still need tong gong to paste posters,bu dao gu still need tong gong for mentoring and EBS,and zhao ji ren still need all of you (YES,YOU,stop looking around) to join CG!!!wahaha...remember,you are doing all this because you know God loves you and you want to love HIM right back!! sorry for the long long sharing,cheers,Jieying:) |
